Meet a Farmer Event at Kroger
Meet a farmer on June 24 from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the Kroger store at 44525 Ann Arbor Rd., Plymouth, Michigan. Five local farmers will be available to answer questions regarding farm ownership, sustainability, animal welfare, GMO foods, antibiotics, hormones and animal health. The farmers raise everything from corn, wheat, soybeans, sugarbeets, alfalfa and dry beans to pigs and beef and dairy cows.
The Great Dairy Adventure
Mark your calendar for the Great Dairy Adventure on Wednesday, July 19, from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.! This event is geared to families, daycare centers, summer camps and anyone who wants to learn more about dairy farming and sample free ice cream and other dairy products. Michigan Farmers Market at the Capitol
Save the dates for the 2017 “Farmers Markets at the Capitol” on the east lawn of the Michigan State Capitol Building in Lansing. Rain or shine, vendors travel from all over the state of Michigan to attend. On July 27, August 24 and September 21, the market will be from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
